royalwesterngelbvieh.com

RWG Tennessee Cat 7104 is a homozygous black, homozygous polled purebred sire who is a direct son of RWG Royal Reserve 5066 and, out of one of the breeds best black females, TSCC Twin Star Kitty 710K. Tennessee Cat 7104 is the second half of the first ever sire/son back to back Grand Champion Bull at Canadian Western Agribition in Regina. 2009 Reserve Grand Champion Gelbvieh bull at the NILE Billings, Montana.

TC will be selectively used through A.I. in attempt to produce a walking son that will be his replacement as he was put down due to reproductive injury, his progeny have been very  good including some of Tower View's top selling bulls.

TC's progeny look promising as they are carrying many of the same traits that make this bull great. His dam 710K was a 3 time dam of merit and is the foundation to our black division at Royal Western Gelbvieh.

TC is co-owned with Tower View Ranch of Medicine Hat, Alberta

RWG Traction 7412 is a homozygous polled, heterozygous black Herd Sire who's  proving to be on of the most unique sires to ever walk our breeding pastures. His first calf crop has resulted in  one of the most impressive calf crops by one sire ever. Traction 7412 puts all of that rib shape and mass into his progeny just like his sire "Royal Reserve" but adds way more muscle shape and style to his progeny. Traction 7412 keeps his progeny either dark red or solid black and have the same virtually flawless structural correctness and soundness, with really square solid feet, displaying tons of mass, muscle pattern and easy fleshing on moderate frames. Traction 7412 progeny will also be noted for his early gestation length and low birth weights as his first 32 purebred calves average birth weight of 72. 82 lbs with only 1 coming from a first calf heifer, the rest from mature cows.  Sired the 2012 NWSS Intermediate Champion and Reserve Champion Bulls.

Traction is owned by Ken and Darcy Blair of Claresholm, Alberta

RWG Totally- Exposed 7918 ET (deceased) was homozygous polled and with his first and only natural calf crop on the ground his progeny are proving to be some of our most unique, tons of style long bodies calves with a really soft appearance. Progeny are proving to be every bit as good and better, 7918 also did a great job keeping that thick fuzzy hair coat on his progeny.

With a limited natural calf crop for 2010 and only very selective future A.I. use.

EGL Pabst L011 (deceased) was a senior herd sire at RWG, and a sire that certainly needs no introduction. He's one of the best sires in the breed when it comes to siring the kind of cattle that honestly work in today's industry. Cattle that are deep sided with big volume, tons of guts, big quartered, lots of muscle expression and really easy fleshing.

His dam is the famous EGL Phoebe G374. A female that has broke every record previously set by Gelbvieh females in North America.

Being as Pabst was only heterozygous polled he had limited use in our herd but watch this fall for our new homozygous polled herd sire from Pabst, as well as other progeny at all the fall shows.

Pabst was co-owned with Calvert and Amanda Haustein of Erskine, Alberta

WALKING BULLS

RWG Royal Reserve 5066 was a stand out from birth and has never looked back. This powerhouse homozygous black, homozygous polled purebred herd sire caught everyone's attention at Canadian Western Agribition 2007 where he was named Grand Champion Bull. Royal Reserve's maternal brother was named Champion Senior Bull Calf with some of his progeny taking Reserve Senior Bull Calf Champion and Senior Heifer Calf Champion honors.

Royal Reserve is also the breed first Canadian Western Agribition Champion Bull to have a son take the same honors the following year.

Royal Reserve works just as hard in the breeding pastures as the show ring- seeing progeny that display deep chest floors, as well as lots of volume, mass and tons of hair. His sons demonstrate the same early maturity and scrotal circumference as their sire and his daughters have remarkable teat and udder structure.

We look forward to Royal Reserve's progeny becoming a large part of our breeding program.

Royal Reserve is Co-Owned with Dale Congdon

Royal Reserve is the sire to the 5 heifers that made up the Reserve Pen of 5 Commercial Heifers at Farmfair 2009.

RWG WHY ME 9515

Why Me is the deepest, thickest made son of EGL Pabst L011ET to date. He displays tremendous width, tons of hair and is extremely structurally correct. Why Me's overall bone mass, rib shape and mass make him a very unique herdsire prospect. On top of that, he has a weaning weight ratio of 102, and a yearling ratio of 109

When you add in the fact that his dam VG Valley Miss 34NET is one of the very best Blackjack 48F daughters with flawless structure and udder quality, your end result is an outstanding heterozygous black, homozygous polled herdsire prospect.

Why Me has sure made his mark in our program with his first calf crop all out of first calvers, with some of very stoutest made cattle, that are extreamly clean in profile, good thick hair coats, and really nice head shape, while maintaing top end ADG on moderate frames.

PHG MR. WIZARD W27

VG Valley Miss 34N ET

Dam of RWG Why Me 9515

PHG Wizard W27 is a big stout dark cherry red, homo polled sire with a total out cross pedigree. Wizard made his impression on us with his tremendous width of base, tons of hair, bone mass and tremendous growth. His Dam is  sweet made, moderate Pegasus daughter who made our decision to purchase PHG W27 easy.  With a killer pedigree, EPD's to burn, dark red, hair and lots of flex and his easy moving type, W27 will truly make his mark in the breed. Wizard has an truely awsome disposition, will provide our program with alot of extra frame and long term growth. Wizard has our largest sire group of calves in 2011, and was used on our moderate framed females, needing a little extra frame.  His progeny have quickly become reconized for there massive amounts of hair, extra growth, lots of style and when mated to the moderate females has produced some exceptional progeny.

RWG TEXAS WORTH 9223

Texas Worth is extremely stylish, with loads of hair, great structure, and large scrotum. He is dark cherry red, homo polled, and has a pedigree that has a lot to offer breeders.

His dam, VG Miss BJ 29S, is a moderate dark cherry red Blackjack JR daughter with a perfect udder, definitely the kind of female you keep herd bulls out of.

His sire, RWG Texas Mickey 7103, is a son of RWG Royal Reserve 5066 thus making RWG Texas Worth 9223 the very first Red bull to come from the great RWG Royal Reserve 5066. RWG Texas Worth 9223 also combines the sweet donor female Hadie 70H as grand dam just stacking up the pedigree power.

Texas Worths first calves  display alot of natural length of body, that dark color, lots of hair, and that sweet clean made style.

LCR ULTIMATE 428U

 SIRES OF YESTERDAY....

COLB MR. XAVIER X812

COLB MR. XAVIER X812 is our newest herd sire addition, being hetero black and homozygous polled. He was purchased out of the stalls at National Western Stock Show. He was second in class to the eventual National Champion Bull. Xavier offers our program a total outcross pedigree, with breed leading genetic's, ranking in the top of the breed for epd merit.  This February 18th born bull blew away the competition, with awesome structural correctness, being big topped, long bodied, and posting at NWSS weight of 1280 lbs and scrotal of 40.5 cm. Xavier passed semen tests at 11 months of age demonstrating his early maturity and fertility.  His Dam also makes him just that much better being a sweet made first calver, with the type of structure and udder quality that's so important to our program. Being named champion female at the Kansas State Fair.

2012 NWSS Champion Intermediate Bull, RWG XTREME TRACTION 0521 aka "XT" is a Jr. herd sire that we have big expectations for, as he stems from one of the very best maternal cow familys. His Dam VG 157T ET is a direct daughter of the famous VG 90H Donor Female and VV Rally Lou 16R. VG 157T is a Flush Mate to ULL 5T (high selling heifer calf @ the 2007 national sale).  XT is a great genetic combination between  a foundation Cow Family and one of the breeds most complete young herd sires RWG Traction 7412. "XT" already displays more natural shape, volume and natural bone mass than his awsome sire. XT passed semen test with flying colors at 10 months of age, adding more value to his cow familys early maturing and awsome fertility. XT offers alot of style, correctness, an awsome front end and muscel shape.
